Bite into “The Vampire Diaries”

“The Vampire Diaries” premiered on the CW network on September 10, 2009. Based on the series of books by L.J. Smith, “The Vampire Diaries” is about a girl named Elena (Nina Dobrev, “DeGrassi: The Next Generation”) who’s grieving over the lost of her parents but puts on a brave face as she faces the students at Mystic Falls High School. At the same time she is trying to save her brother Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen, “Everwood”) from himself as he has been hanging around the wrong crowd and using drugs. Elena and Jeremy are now living with their Aunt Jenna (Sara Canning, “Smallville”), who is doing her best to be a surrogate parent. Things are about to change for Elena when a new student, Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley, “Everwood”), enrolls and quickly becomes the talk of the school. Stefan and Elena are immediately drawn to one another, but there is a reason Stefan is back in Mystic Falls and a secret he is hiding from everyone – he is a vampire.

Justin Timberlake has just signed on to star in a biopic based on the founders of Facebook. Timberlake will be playing Sean Parker, who was Facebook’s original president and the co-founder of file sharing site Napster. It’s the mis-match worth watching! Shaq challenges 10-Time World Boxing Champion Oscar De La Hoya to a 5-round exhibition boxing match. De La Hoya came out of retirement in order to accept Shaq’s challenge. De La Hoya stands at 5’10 while Shaq towers over De La Hoya at 7’1″. Also De La Hoya is out of his weight class as Shaq is more than 300 lbs. Who will win this “David and Goliath” match?
