“Unstoppable” – Trailer

Video Source: MSN.com
Vodpod videos no longer available.

Take a look at the trailer for “Unstoppable” directed by Tony Scott and starring Academy Award winner Denzel Washington (“Training Day”) and “Star Trek” star Chris Pine. Full cast list can be found here.

Here’s a synopsis from IMDB.com

A rail company frantically works to prevent an unmanned, half-mile-long freight train carrying combustible liquids and poisonous gas from wiping out a city.

“Unstoppable” will be released in theaters on November 12, 2010. Looks like a good film but does it remind anyone of a cross between “Speed” and “Armageddon”.

Summer Movie Season: August 2010

filmreel

Can you believe that we’re already in the last month of Summer? So what movies round out the summer? “The Other Guys” and “Step Up 3D” open during the first weekend of this month.

Academy Award winner Julia Roberts stars in “Eat Pray Love” based on the bestselling novel by Elizabeth Gilbert. “The Expendables” is an action-thriller starring a cast that in one point or another played a hero or a villain. Michael Cera stars in “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” where he tries to win the girl but in order to do so he has to get past her exes.

Family film “Nanny McPhee Returns” this month starring Academy Award winner Emma Thompson and Academy Award nominee Maggie Gyllenhaal (“Crazy Heart”). If you are looking for a rom com then check out “Going the Distance” starring Drew Barrymore and Justin Long.

At the end of the month there’s “Takers” which stars Paul Walker (“Fast and the Furious”), Matt Dillon, singers T.I. and Chris Brown, and Hayden Christensen (“Star Wars: Attack of the Clones”). Could this film be a hit or just another Bank Heist film? You be the judge.

My spotlight pick of the month is “The Tillman Story”. “The Tillman Story” tells the story of Pat Tillman who gave up his professional football career to join the Army but sadly died during active duty. The trailer suggests that there is more to Tillman’s death and perhaps there is a cover up so it might be interesting to check out.

Well that’s my August overview, click on the link below to check out the rest of the movies coming out this month and check back next month for the first month of the Fall Movie Season.
