Smallville Season 9: “Rabid”

“Smallville” meets “Supernatural” is how I describe “Rabid” which is the third episode of the season. Lois and Clark fighting against zombies? It kind of reminds me of the first season of “Smallville” where Clark would have to face a new meteor “freak” every episode, “freak of the week” if you will. I must say, I was expecting a little more from this episode because the “Rabid” promo implied that Lois and Clark would go on a date, but sadly that did not happen. However, the episode further explored the Lois/Clark/Red Blue Blur love triangle that is still unfolding while Oliver Queen and Major Zod have returned in this episode as well.

Smallville Season 9: “Metallo”

John Corben (Brian Austin Green) is the newest reporter at the Daily Planet and the first story he wants to break is to expose the Red Blue Blur as a vigilante and not a hero. On the other hand, Lois Lane (Erica Durance) wants to know the person behind the hero. It’s only the second episode of the season and I love how this season is shaping up to be reminiscent of “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” in terms of the dynamic between Lois and Clark. Also we are beginning to see the Lois/Clark/Superman love triangle unfold as Lois’s budding crush on the Red Blue Blur is starting to surface.

Smallville Season 9 – “Rabid” Trailer

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Here is the promo trailer for “Rabid” which is the third episode of Season 9 of “Smallville”. Here is the premise via CWTV.com:

Zod (Callum Blue) and his soldiers release a virus into the air that turns humans into zombies. The only way to stop it is to make an antidote from the blood of another Kryptonian. After Lois (Erica Durance) is infected, Chloe (Allison Mack) pleads with Clark (Tom Welling) to donate his blood to stop the epidemic, even though it risks outing him to Zod.

Looks like a great episode!

Call me “Stiletto”

Erica Durance as Stiletto

Erica Durance as Stiletto

Lois is in a story rut, and when an opportunity presents itself…she seizes it and she sticks to the facts.  Is this story too good to be true, or is it just that?  Lois is itching to get a new story so that she can boost her reputation and try to land an exclusive with the Red Blue Blur (aka Clark Kent).  She and Clark are listening to the police scanner as she tells Clark that when a crime is being committed, the Red Blue Blur is not that far behind.

Episode 19 of Season 8 is entitled: “Stiletto”.  This episode is very reminiscent of past Superman story arcs.  Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman had Teri Hatcher become “Ultrawoman” after a red kryptonite beam hits Clark which transfers his powers to Lois.  In the episode entitled “Wrath” in Season 7 of Smallville,  Lana absorbs Clark’s powers from a lightening bolt.  The thing that differs in “Stiletto” is that Lois (Erica Durance) saves her cousin Chloe (Allison Mack) from a mugger using her combat skills.  When Lois manages to subdue one of the baddies in the mugging, the crook asks if she was a superhero, and she says “Call me Stiletto”.
