According to Variety, Summit Entertainment will re-release “Twilight” [for one day only] the day before the anticipated release of its sequel “New Moon” which opens on November 20, 2009. The question is, would you want to go see “Twilight” in the theaters when it is currently on DVD?

At a glance, the month of November has a potential box office hit coming out every weekend. I think it is safe to predict that “New Moon”, the anticipated sequel to “Twilight” is going to be a big hit. For those who are not “Twi-hards” there are plenty of other movies coming out this month that may interest you. Kicking off the first weekend of November is Disney’s “A Christmas Carol” in 3D which I think is going to look amazing in 3D. For those who are still in the Halloween mood there is “The Fourth Kind” which is based on actual events.
Sticking with the animation theme, the “Fanastic Mr. Fox”, “Planet 51”, and “The Princess and the Frog” will premiere this month as well. From the writer and the director of “The Day After Tomorrow” is Roland Emmerich’s latest work “2012”. I actually liked “The Day After Tomorrow” more than I thought I would, so perhaps “2012” would be worth checking out. Want more action than a disaster film? You may want to check out “Ninja Assassin” which is coming out the day before Thanksgiving.
Dialing it back a couple of notches from blood and disaster to feel-good film is “The Blind Side” starring Sandra Bullock which is based on the true story of professional football player Michael Oher. Looking for a family comedy that is non-animated? Perhaps check out “Old Dogs” starring Robin Williams and John Travolta.
My spotlight pick of the month is “Precious” which is based upon the novel “Push” by Sapphire. This movie has been getting some Oscar buzz and with Executive Producers Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry behind the film; this film must be something special. The trailer and some of the scenes for “Precious” had me tearing up already. Mariah Carey also stars in the film as well. Check out the video below to hear Oprah talk about the film a little bit more. Well that’s my November overview, click on the link below to check out the rest of the movies coming out in the next month.
MSN has debuted a new behind the scenes featurette on The Wolf Pack from the anticipated “Twilight” sequel “New Moon” which will open in theaters on November 20, 2009.
In the featurette, “New Moon” Director Chris Weitz talks about introducing “the world of werewolves” into the film with CGI and the actors who play the wolf pack members talk a little bit about the movie too. Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black) and Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan) also appear in this behind the scenes look at “The Wolf Pack”. The theatrical premiere for the highly anticipated follow-up to “Twilight” is two months away, so is it true that “New Moon” tickets have been selling out already? It is true in some places. Although the majority of the shows that are sold out are the midnight showings. If you are still scratching your head on this one, I would say investigate for yourself. When I first heard this news, I wondered to myself “seriously…how can that be”? So I actually went onto Fandango.com and Movietickets.com and performed a search in my area and sure enough, it was quite true. Now I wouldn’t fret too much because this article is stating only “some” places are sold out not all theaters. Besides there are plenty of movie times to go to after the midnight showings. Some may want to be the first to see the movie (which is perfectly fine), but for me…”I’ll see it when I see it.”
