This movie looks amazing and if the film adaptation is as good as the book; I really think “The Lovely Bones” can be a real Oscar contender!

“The Lovely Bones” is the movie adaptation of the book by Best-Selling author Alice Sebold, and the movie is directed by Academy Award winning director Peter Jackson (“Lord of the Rings Trilogy”). I thought this book was amazing! If you haven’t read it, I would highly recommend reading it! I know this is going to sound like an adjective fest but truly this book was beautiful, chilling, haunting, heart breaking, and uplifting.

Here is a brief synopsis of the novel:
Fourteen year old Susie Salmon (Saoirse Ronan, “Atonement”) becomes a victim of rape and murder. As she copes with her own death from heaven, she watches her family and friends grieve while the police search for her killer.
